Grow IN Grace

In 2 Peter 3:18, Peter says to Grow. We naturally grow as newborns to a child, child to teen, teen to adult, and then i guess adult to elder. This will happen without us trying of course, but there is a growth that doesn’t happen naturally.

We live in a world that is growing rapidly, forcing us to grow ourselves, or be left behind. Peter knows the importance of growth, but it all matters on what we grow IN. We hear the fact that a tree would be limited in growth depending on where it is planted. We are made to grow, but we get to choose what to grow IN.

Peter ends his letter with grow IN grace. The grace of God is beyond our knowledge, it is freely given without conditions, and not limited based on one’s behavior. Gods grace was shown on Calvary and poured out for the whole world, regardless if they would accept it or not.

God’s grace will not only draw us into his who He really is, but will also keep those who have received it. Growing is continual, it is a processes that will keep going to the end of time, may we learn how to grow in grace everyday with ourselves and others. Start putting yourself IN the grace of God and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the God of all Grace.
